Summary

The Price Chart shows how a security’s quoted price has changed over the selected period. Use it to review historical price behaviour, compare different time windows, and inspect individual observations.

Chart controls

Use the range controls to change the visible period. A shorter range makes recent movements easier to inspect, while a longer range provides more context. The zoom controls let you enlarge a section of the chart without changing the underlying data.

Hover over the chart to see the value and date for a specific point. If the chart interval or available history changes, the same control can represent a different number of observations.

Three-year moving average

The 3-year moving average is a smoothed line calculated from a rolling window of historical prices. It reduces the effect of short-term movements so the broader direction is easier to see. Because it uses past observations, it will normally react more slowly than the price itself.

How to use it

Compare the price with the moving-average line, the direction of the line, and the selected range together. A price above a rising average can describe positive historical momentum, while a price below a falling average can describe weakening momentum. These are observations about past data, not automatic buy or sell signals.

Things to keep in mind

Prices may be adjusted, incomplete, or unavailable for some dates. A chart does not include every factor that can affect an investment, including dividends, fees, liquidity, corporate actions, and future news.
