Summary

1Y Net Income Growth measures the percentage increase or decrease in a company’s Net Income compared with the preceding annual period.

It shows how the company’s bottom-line profitability has changed over one year.

How it is calculated

1Y Net Income Growth = ((Current Net Income − Previous Net Income) ÷ Previous Net Income) × 100

How to read it

Positive growth generally means profit increased, while negative growth generally means profit declined.

The result may be affected by one-off gains or expenses, finance costs, tax changes, or a movement between profit and loss. Percentage growth can be misleading when the previous result was very small or negative.
