Quinco reports €19.8m first-half revenue as Handaq investment nears completion
Profit before tax reaches nearly €1.1m
Quinco Holdings plc has reported €19.8 million in revenue for the first six months of 2026, as the Group continues to settle into its new structure following its spin-off from Simonds Farsons Cisk.
For the six months ended 30 June 2026, Quinco recorded gross profit of €4.7 million and profit before tax of just under €1.1 million. Profit attributable to shareholders came in at around €680,000.
The Group’s total assets rose to €76.9 million, up from €72.2 million at the end of 2025, while total equity stood at €48.5 million. Cash and cash equivalents amounted to €6.47 million at the end of the reporting period.
Group completes most of post-spin-off transition
Quinco said the operational separation from Simonds Farsons Cisk is now largely complete, with key functions including finance, IT, payroll and human resources centralised within the Group.
Trading during the period was partly affected by changes within its restaurant operations. Pizza Hut Valletta was closed, while Burger King Paceville was temporarily shut. Quinco is also planning to open another quick-service restaurant outlet towards the end of 2026.
Handaq logistics centre moves closer to completion
Work on the new Handaq Head Office and Logistics Centre is nearing completion, with the Group expecting to begin relocating its operations in phases towards the end of summer.
Quinco also expanded its distribution activities during the period, with Quintano Foods taking over the distribution of the Kraft Heinz product portfolio in Malta under a new agreement.
Looking ahead, the Board said it remains cautiously confident about the remainder of 2026 as the new logistics facility, distribution arrangements and other investments move into their operational stages.
