Challenge Aviation reports $125,706 loss in first reporting period
First interim accounts published
Challenge Aviation plc reported a $125,706 loss for its first reporting period ended 30 June 2026.
The Company was incorporated on 30 October 2025, so the interim financial statements do not include a comparable period from the previous year. Challenge Aviation acts as a financing company supporting the Challenge Group’s aircraft-leasing operations.
Finance costs weigh on results
Investment and related income totalled $226,023, while interest expenses amounted to $200,110, leaving a gross profit of $25,913.
Administrative expenses of $151,619 then pushed the Company into a loss of $125,706 for the period.
€30 million bond issued in May
Challenge Aviation issued a €30 million 5.75% bond on 26 May 2026, with redemption scheduled for 26 May 2032.
As the bond was issued towards the end of May, the interim figures reflect only a limited period of finance income and expenses linked to the new funding structure.
Challenge Aviation Holding serves as guarantor of the bond.
The interim results provide bondholders with the Company’s first financial update since the €30 million bond was issued.
